How much does a private consultation cost?
New appointments (face-to-face or virtual): £250–£350. Follow-up appointments: £200–£275. Surgical fees are discussed individually at consultation. Most major UK health insurers accepted including BUPA, AXA Health, Aviva, WPA, and Cigna.
Do I need a GP referral to book privately?
No. Self-referrals are welcome. Appointments are typically available within 2–3 days. Call Jo Mitchelson on 020 7952 2882 or email pa@lungsurgeon.co.uk. Virtual consultations are often available within 24 hours.
Which health insurers does Dr Okiror accept?

Can I have surgery at London Bridge Hospital on the same day as my biopsy?
In selected cases, yes. London Bridge Hospital was the first centre in Europe to offer ION robotic bronchoscopy outside NHS clinical trials. Where biopsy confirms early-stage cancer and surgery is the appropriate next step, the integrated pathway at London Bridge allows this to be planned and performed promptly — often within days of diagnosis rather than weeks. Do you see international patients?
Yes. International patients are welcome. An initial virtual consultation can be arranged within 24 hours, allowing full review of imaging and reports before any travel to London is needed.
